Irrfan Khan Turns Up In A Saree in Chadni Chowk

Irrfan Khan is the one actor who doesn’t shy away from getting into a character. Well, the actor, who is often presumed to be the typical man, has now gone ahead and donned a saree in his upcoming film, which is indeed praise-worthy.

Irrfan plays a saree shop-owner in Chadni Chowk and the actor was spotted in a saree since he is trying to please his customer in that particular scene.

Not only did he just drape a saree for that scene from his upcoming film ‘Hindi Medium’ but Irrfan also learnt to wear a saree by himself.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Box Office Report of Dum Maro Dum : 'Dum Maaro Dum' opens to dull houses. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. In view of the fact that it's a National Holiday, the morning and noon shows of DUM MAARO DUM should've started on 50% - 60% note at least. The terrific promotions as well as no major opposition to contend with are two factors that should have gone in its favor.
