The difference has come outside the metros where the Salman Khan star pull and action factor has come into play. the collections in places like Mumbai city and Bangalore were just a little bette than Dangal but if we check the cities of places like UP and Rajasthan then it is double. The morning shows are very similar to Sultan but that was a national holiday where multiplexes very very strong while some mass areas were a little short as Eid fell a day late. The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal released in December last year to rave reviews from the critics and audience alike. The film which has till now held strong at the box office despite newer releases hitting screens has become one of the highest grossers. In this special report we take a look at the economics of Dangal to analyse the profitability of the film for its makers. Collecting Rs. 381.05 crores after the fifth Saturday running at the domestic box office, the makers of the film stand to make Rs. 241.68 cr. as profit with a 322.24% rate of Return on Investment. Dangal's Sanya Malhotra recreates Shah Rukh’s Mitwa and she is spot on

There is a scene in Aamir Khan’s Dangal where Sanya Malhotra, who plays wrestler Babita Phogat, is watching Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on TV in her hostel. This was director Nitesh Tiwari’s way of paying tribute to Khan and his brand of cinema. Now Sanya has come up with a video where she’s striking Shah Rukh’s trademark pose in Mitwa from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Her caption suggests that Nitesh Tiwari shot the video while she herself has edited it. Aamir's Dangal overtakes PK, becomes highest-grossing Hindi film in history

Aamir Khan’s Dangal has overtaken his previous film PK to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in history. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the news on Sunday. Dangal’s box office haul, as of Sunday, stands at Rs 341 crore, slightly over PK’s lifetime earnings of Rs 340 crore. After emerging as the highest grosser of 2016, Dangal is now eyeing on breaking other records held by all-time blockbuster films PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Aamir Khan’s wrestling drama has collected Rs 313.50 crore in the domestic market. The film’s overseas collection is Rs 166.07 cr. Currently, Dangal is at third place after PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in terms of all time top box office collection. Aamir Khan-starrer PK is the all-time top grosser with a collection of Rs 340.8 cr. Following PK is Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan with a collection of Rs 320.34 cr. It is interesting to note, however, that Dangal’s opening weekend collection and first-week collection is higher than that of PK and Sultan.
