Salman Khan Refused to Patch up with Vivek Oberoi at IIFA Awards 2010 Salman Khan has once again refused to bride up the gap with fellow actor Vivek Oberoi during the IIFA Awards 2010 which recently took place in Sri Lanka. Vivek was the host of the fashion event and was due to introduce Salman Khan on the stage. He even included the phrases like "rockstar of Bollywood" and "man with a golden heart" while introducing Salman. However, Salman Khan strongly refused the idea of being introduced by his long-time foe. Later, Anil Kapoor took up the microphone to introduce Salman Khan. It was not the first time Vivek tried to close the difference with Salman Khan whom he once publicly criticized in a press conference. The origin of their bitter relation is Aishwarya Rai who was at some point in the past romantically involved with both the actors.

Anupam Kher To be Awarded Sri Lankan Presidential Award at IIFA 2010 For Contribution to Cinema

Seasoned Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will be honoured with the Presidential Award on June 4 at the ongoing International Indian Film Academy weekend in Colombo for his contribution to cinema. Anupam Kher will be honoured in Colombo for his contribution to cinema "I will get the Sri Lankan presidential award at the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum tomorrow (Friday) for my work in cinema. It's an honour," Anupam, 55, who will receive the award from Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, said. A veteran of close to 300 films, Anupam has played varied roles in his 25-year-long career. Some of his landmark films are 'Saransh', 'Daddy', 'Karma' and 'Tezaab'. He has also been seen in offbeat films like 'Morning Walk', 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' and 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara'. Vidhu Vinodh Chopra’s Three Idiots is slated for a major victory at the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards ceremony due to be held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo from June 3 to 5. The rollicking comedy, which has created box office history of all times for a Bollywood movie with a collection in excess of $US 100 million (and still counting), has been nominated in 12 out of 13 categories of the prestigious awards. The film has already taken eight of the 12 technical awards declared last week. ‘Aladin’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’ picked up two awards each.
