The all India first day collections were around 3 crore nett. Which is fair considering heroine-oriented films, generally, don't open too well. The film enjoys excellent reports and is expected to have a robust opening weekend. In terms of costing, UTV should make good profits on this one, since the revenue from the Satellite Rights have already recovered a substantial sum of the investment. The film No One Killed Jessica's story is inspired by the murder of model Jessica Lal in 1999 at Tamarind Court in Delhi. A special screening of No One Killed Jessica is being held January 4 in Delhi. The film’s two protagonists are Vidya Balan (who plays Sabrina Lal, Jessica’s sister) and Rani Mukerji (who plays a spunky investigative journalist). The film releases on January 7th 2011.
