SRK's Don 3 very much on, Farhan takes break from acting to finish script

The actor-director, who was last seen in 'Lucknow Central,' has not signed any fresh projects to concentrate on 'Don 3'. Farhan Akhtar has stopped signing new films. No, it isn't owing to his string of flops. It's because the actor-director has finally decided to pay heed to the ridiculously loyal fanbase that his most popular work commands, and concentrate on the highly anticipated 'Don 3'. The Shaha Rukh Khan starrer has been in the pipeline for the longest time and speculation have also been rife about the cast and release date of the film. With rumours about Deepika Padukone replacing Priyanka gaining momentum, a credible source has informed us that Farhan has indefinitely put his acting career on the backburner and channelised all his energies onto the project. Bollywood's multi-faceted talent Farhan Akhtar was wished a "rocking" birthday, year and life by his friends from the film industry. He turned 43 on Monday. His friends and co-workers like Shraddha Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari wished him an "amazing" year full of happiness, luck and laughter. Farhan, who is the son of screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, is a film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, playback singer and lyricist. He began his career in Bollywood by working as an assistant director in "Lamhe" and "Himalay Putra". Farhan made his directorial debut in 2001 with "Dil Chahta Hai", and started his acting career in 2008 with "Rock On!!". Shakti Kapoor: We are reacting to rumours by ignoring them

Actor Shakti Kapoor says the family is not paying any heed to reports of his daughter, actor Shraddha Kapoor’s affair with filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar. “I am not bothered about anything. There’s no pressure on any of us, because we know the truth. When we known the truth, I don’t care what the world thinks,” he says speaking to HT City. A week ago, there were reports that Shraddha had moved in with Farhan and Shakti had to drag her out of his house to bring her back home. However calling this untrue, Shakti says, “I was holidaying in Goa when I got to know about this report. She (Shraddha) is sick and can’t even step out. She was at home resting when this rumour surfaced. How does one react to it? By ignoring it,” he explains. Shraddha has dismissed the rumours in a recent interview. “Yes, I am living in... with my parents! I have no intention of moving out of my parents’ home. I have no plans of shifting out to my own apartment, let alone someone else’s.”

Shraddha not comfortable sleeping in other people's homes

Shakti Kapoor has rubbished reports about dragging daughter Shraddha Kapoor out of Farhan Akhtar's house. The actor who had shared a photograph of his with wife Shivangi with this reporter on Christmas day from Goa said, "you have my photograph which I had WhatsApped on Christmas and the report said I was in Mumbai. The entire report is baseless. I have told my daughter not to get harrowed by such malicious stories." Shakti Kapoor goes on to add that he met his sister-in-law Padmini only last night to hand over the Goan food. He added, "they said I was there with her and the truth was I was with Siddhant and my wife Shivangi in Goa. Shivangi is still in Goa I came back for my shooting in Mumbai and I don't even know where Farhan lives." Shakti Kapoor even refutes the claim that his daughter has moved out of the house.
