Student of the Year ia a comedy film directed by Karan Johar, starring new comers Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan under the banner of Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment. The soundtrack for the film will be composed by Vishal Shekhar. The film is to be released on 19 October 2012
