Theatrical Trailer of Dhobi Ghat Starring Aamir Khan and Prateek Babbar

The first promo of Dhobi Ghaat, an Aamir Khan Productions' upcoming Bollywood Hindi film, has been released by UTV motion pictures. Dhobi Ghaat is directed by Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao and is her debut feature film. Aamir Khan plays the lead role, that of a painter. The other members of the star cast include Prateek Babbar and Dan Husain. The film is scheduled for release in cinemas on 21 January 2011.

Pratiek Babbar is the son of Bollywood veteran Raj Babbar and legendary actress Smita Patil. His other films include Dum Maro Dum and My Friend Pinto.

The musical score of Dhobi Ghaat is composed by oscar winning Argentinian composer Gustavo Santaolalla. Dhobi Ghat was screened to huge applause at Toronto International Film Festival.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun.
