Aiyyaa is a rom-com written and directed by Sachin Kundalkar, jointly produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18. The film stars Rani Mukerji and Malayalam actor Prithviraj.

Dreamum Wakeuppam is a dream sequence song with Rani as the heroine of a southern masala and south star Prithviraj as her ultimate fantasy man.

Since Rani plays a Marathi girl in Aiyyaa whose heart goes dhak dhak only for a Tamil boy (Prithviraj), she dreams of him all the time, and the tangy song Dreamum Wakeuppam is the result of her wonderful imagination



Dreamum Wakeuppam Critical Conditionam is said to be inspired from the south cult classic number from the eighties featuring Kamal Haasan. Not only the song, apparently even the dance has been choreographed keeping Haasan’s number in mind. Vaibhavi Merchant has choreographed the track
