Karni Sena vandalises MP school for playing Ghoomar song from Padmaavat, 1 injured

Padmaavat: Karni Sena vandalises MP school for playing Ghoomar song, 1 injured. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus has once again run into trouble with members of the Rajput fringe outfit.

A school in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam was allegedly vandalised by members of Shri Rajput Karni Sena after students performed on the song 'Ghoomar' from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat.'

The incident was reported from Saint Paul's Convent School here, where students from grades one to five performed to the song during their annual day function.

Following this, members of the Karni Sena allegedly destroyed school property while the performance was going on. The police were informed about the incident and reached the spot to investigate.

One student got injured in the quarrel.

Bhansali's magnum opus has time and again run into trouble with the members of the Karni Sena, who allege that the movie shows Rajput legacy in bad light, and that historical facts have been tampered with.

On a related note, 'Padmaavat' features Deepika Padukone in the titular role as Rani Padmini, alongside Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji.

The movie is slated to release on January 25.

-
Image
Salman Khan puts on a cop act once again in his forthcoming film Dabangg. But unlike his previous outings in Garv and Wanted, this one is very corrupt, and looks very interesting. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap -- until now, better known as Anurag Kashyap's younger brother -- the film also stars Arbaaz Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha. Salman tells us what to expect from his latest action film. You're looking very young in Dabangg. Arre, I was told I look very mature in the film! I had lost a lot of weight and was looking really ripped when Arbaaz asked me whether I had ever seen a ripped corrupt cop. But I saw Sonu Sood working out for hours and getting a chiseled body. Arbaaz told me not to compare myself with him and that I should play my role. I didn't agree initially but later realised that he was right. A muscular cop didn't suit the role. But I would feel bad every time I saw Sonu working out. Then I would think, 'tujhe kahi aur, kisi au...
