Sources in New Delhi have confirmed that the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both nations established contact, paving the way for a cessation of hostilities that escalated dangerously throughout the day.

This breakthrough comes after a period of heightened tensions, after Pakistan escalated after India's "Operation Sindoor" an operation against terrorism. Subsequent retaliatory strikes, were  followed by Pakistani targeting of Indian airbases and further Indian counter-strikes blasting several Pakistani Airbases. The direct dialogue between the top military brass signals a crucial turning point in de-escalating the rapidly deteriorating situation.

Pakistan's Call Leads to Mutual Agreement:

According to reliable sources, the DGMO of Pakistan reached out to his Indian counterpart earlier this afternoon. This direct line of communication, a vital mechanism during crises, facilitated immediate discussions aimed at halting the ongoing military engagements.

Key Elements of the Agreed Ceasefire:
Immediate Halt to Military Action: Effective immediately (believed to be around 5:00 PM IST), all firing and military operations by land, air, and naval forces of both India and Pakistan have ceased.
