Anil Kapoor Cast as an Indian Playboy in Mission Impossible 4

Anil Kapoor has been signed on to play a pivotal part, that of a villain, in the next franchisee of the Tom Cruise espionage series, Mission: Impossible IV. Anil Kapoor's role in MI4 will feature him playing the role of an Indian playboy called Brij Nath, who is armed with international connections in high places. The character is expected to have shades of Hugh Hefner, the Playboy magazine owner! News is also afloat that Anil, who will be having some steamy scenes with Paula Patton, will be shooting for the film from next month in Dubai.

Anil admits that his Hollywood casting agents are happy with this break. "MI4 should keep me in the rolling as far as future Hollywood breaks go," says the Bollywood actor, who has become leaner in the last two weeks. "All I can say is I'm going to go out there and have a good time," he smiles.

MI4 would be anil Kapoor’s third project abroad after the Oscar-winning “Slumdog Millionaire” and the television series “24.”

After three decades of working really hard on his career, the actor says that he has mentally decided to just enjoy his screen time in Bollywood and abroad. "When I did SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE I didn't imagine that it was opening doors to me for further opportunities in the West," he admits modestly. "But now, 24 and MI4 seem to be just the tip of the iceberg. I'm happy to take each film as it comes."

Besides Cruise and Kapoor, the fourth Mission Impossible movie stars Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg. The movie is slated to appear in the theatres in December 2011.

On the 'desi' front, market is abuzz with the rumor that Anil will be seen in a negative character in Priyadarshan's forthcoming thriller flick Tezz. Well, this man's 'roll' does not end there, for rumor also has it that Anil might also star in Vikramaditya Motwane's next which it to be produced by Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap.
