What Abhishek Bachchan said
“Even in my household, I'm fortunate I get to go out and make the movies. But I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I thank her immensely for that. But I don't think the children think of it that way. They don't look upon you in the third person. They look upon you in the first – you're the parent, the father or the mother,” said Abhishek.
He also added that he didn't feel his parents were absent in his childhood either. While his father Amitabh Bachchan was at the peak of his acting career in the 1970s, his mother Jaya Bachchan had taken a backseat from acting after his birth in 1976. “I never thought of it as a kid. My mother had stopped acting in films when I was born because she wanted to spend time with the children. But we never felt the void of dad not being around. I don't think much is made up of it. At the end of the day, after work, you come home at night,” Abhishek added.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, one of Bollywood's most-liked couples, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2007. Their love story, filled with glamour and adoration, blossomed further with the birth of their daughter, Aaradhya, in 2011.
Aishwarya, known for her stunning beauty and captivating performances, took a sabbatical from her acting career after Aaradhya's birth, prioritizing her role as a mother. She returned to the silver screen in 2015 with Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa," marking a triumphant comeback. Since then, she has carefully chosen her projects, balancing her professional commitments with her family life. Her recent notable appearances include "Sarbjit," "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," "Fanney Khan," and the historical epic "Ponniyin Selvan" franchise.
While Aishwarya has been selective in her film choices, Abhishek has remained active in the industry. He has a lineup of exciting projects in the pipeline, including Remo D'Souza's dance film "Be Happy," Tarun Mansukhani's ensemble comedy "Housefull 5," and Sujoy Ghosh's crime thriller "King."
As the couple continues to navigate their personal and professional lives, their fans eagerly await their next on-screen collaboration, hoping to witness the magic they once created together.
