Aamir Khan Throws a Wedding Reception Bash/Party For Imran Khan and Wife Avanthika Malik

The Who's who of Bollywood turned up for newlyweds Imran Khan and Avantika Malik's reception party on Saturday in Mumbai's Taj Land's End hotel in Bandra (a western suburb). The couple had tied the knot on January 10.

The party was hosted by Imran Khan's uncle Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao.

While Salman came with brothers Arbaaz and Sohail, SRK came with wife Gauri towards the fag end of the evening.

The newlyweds looked splendid as they greeted the guests, which included Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

Imran chose a black achkan suit while wife Avantika wore a red and mehendi-green lehnga choli.


The ladies were at their traditional best. Sample Sonakshi Sinha and Rani Mukerji's outfits.

Usually spotted in western outfits, Gul Panag surprised everyone by turning up in a dark green sari.

The star-studded affair also saw cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, who came with wife Anjali, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh.

SRK and Salman weren't the only rivals who turned up at the reception.
Politicians Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray were also seen gracing the party with their respective wives.

And then there was Ranbir Kapoor, who kept a safe distance from his former girlfriend, Deepika Padukone, who came with Siddharth Mallya.

Ever the ladies man, Akshay Kumar posed for shutterbugs with wife Twinkle Khanna on one arm and director Farah Khan on the other.

Bollywood beauties Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Preity Zinta, Anushka Sharma, Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan too came. Deepika Padukone was there with her friend Siddharth Malya.

"Imran and Avantika make a very sweet couple and I wish them a very, very happy married life," said Vidya.

Priyanka said: "I wish them many many years of togetherness."

Juhi recalled: "I know Imran since he was a kid. He played the role of young Aamir in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. I wish them all the very best and a very happy married life."

Among Bollwood producers and directors, Ashutosh Gowarikar with wife Sunita, Milan Luthria with wife Liane, Sudhir Mishra, Raju Hirani, Imtiyaz Ali, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Yash Chopra with wife Pamela, Mukesh Bhatt and Farah Khan came to wish the couple.

"I wish them that they should love each other for ever like this and make a very happy married life," said Yash Chopra.
