Mohammad Kaif and wife Pooja are proud parents of a baby girl


Former India cricketer and Gujarat Lions' assistant coach Mohammad Kaif and wife Pooja became parents of a baby girl yesterday. They already have a five-year-old son, Kabir. The 36-year-old tweeted: "We are proud to announce the arrival of the newest member to our family. Pooja and I, have been blessed with a beautiful and healthy baby girl." Congratulatory messages for the couple poured in from all quarters.

Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Virat Kohli, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh, Aakash Chopra, Boman Irani, Suniel Shetty were among the others who wished the couple.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun.
