New Delhi: Bollywood's breakout GenZ stars, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, who set the box office ablaze with their smashing debut in the romantic drama Saiyaara, have officially cemented their status as the new faces of Indian cinema. The ecstatic duo was honored with the prestigious CNN-News18 Indian Of The Year GenZ Icon Award at a star-studded ceremony in New Delhi on November 28th.

The win is particularly significant for the young actors, as it marks their first-ever jury-based award and their debut major award-show acknowledgment, validating their critically acclaimed performances as Krish and Vaani in Mohit Suri's musical blockbuster.

✨ A Night of Glamour and Emotion

The celebrated pair arrived in full style for the big night, looking every bit the rising stars they are.

  • Ahaan Panday opted for a super sleek and commanding look in a custom black Gaurav Gupta Bandhgala. The sharp, power fit was elevated by a touch of fantasy with metallic creature brooches featuring winged stag, panther, and swan detailing, giving the classic Indian menswear a futuristic edge.

  • Aneet Padda added a delicate, dreamy touch in a stunning draped satin co-ord set from the label Lime. The off-shoulder, corset-style top and matching midi skirt, described as a beautiful mauve or lavender shade, gave her a soft, radiant glow on stage.

Their stylish arrival was instantly the talk of the town, perfectly capturing the youthful elegance and confidence that defines the current generation of Bollywood talent.

The actors' emotions were palpable as they accepted the coveted trophy for their work on the Yash Raj Films production, Saiyaara.

Ahaan Panday shared his heartfelt gratitude and confessed his surprise at the overwhelming moment:

"I think any artist has dreamed of coming on a stage and accepting their first award... I've practised in front of my bathroom mirror many times, at least 300 to 400 times. But I didn't expect to be completely speechless on such a big stage."

He dedicated the trophy as a reminder to "keep bettering myself, work harder, and be a better performer year after year," and offered deep thanks to the team behind his debut, including Mohit Suri, casting director Shanoo Sharma, and Aditya Chopra.

Aneet Padda spoke with visible emotion about her journey and the support of her co-star:

"I was chasing a feeling since I was 10 and I can safely say that he's given me my forever and ever. And so has Ahaan. If it wasn't for him, I don't think the film would have happened and I don't think I would have felt all that I did."

She concluded her speech with a line that instantly went viral, looking at Ahaan with admiration: "And it's the best feeling in the world to be on the stage with one of the best men in the world. So thank you."

🎬 The Saiyaara Magic Continues

The film Saiyaara, which follows the emotional love story of a singer and a lyricist, became one of 2025's biggest blockbusters.
