'Thamma' Confirmed for Prime Video OTT Release: Full Streaming Dates for early rental access and free streaming Revealed below.

Great news for fans who missed the cinematic experience! The Diwali blockbuster horror-comedy, 'Thamma,' starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is officially heading to Amazon Prime Video this December after a successful run at the box office, where it earned over ₹211 crore worldwide.

The film, which is the fifth installment in the popular Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), will follow a two-stage digital release strategy:

  • The film is already available for early access rent for a fee (typically around ₹349, Now discount Price ₹240). Early Access (Rental) is available from December 2, 2025. 
  • Full Streaming Release will happen on December 16, 2025 - The film will be available to all Amazon Prime Video subscribers at no extra cost.

Thamma - A Hit That Blends Genres

Released theatrically on October 21, 2025, 'Thamma' was praised for its unique blend of folklore, romance, supernatural horror (featuring a vampire/Betaal twist), and sharp comedy.5 The strong performances, particularly by Khurrana as a journalist and Mandanna as the mysterious Tadaka, cemented its status as one of the year's biggest entertainers.6
