"Iconic and Larger-than-Life": Salman Khan's Rugged Army Look for 'Battle of Galwan' Goes Viral

Mumbai/Ladakh: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again set social media ablaze, this time with a viral photo from the sets of his upcoming patriotic drama, 'Battle of Galwan.' The image, which shows the actor in a rugged, battle-ready army uniform, has generated massive excitement among his fans, who are calling his new soldier avatar "intense" and "epic."

The photo, reportedly taken during the demanding first schedule of the film in the high-altitude terrains of Leh-Ladakh, captures Salman Khan in full military gear. His serious and determined expression perfectly embodies the intensity of the character, which is said to be based on the heroic Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who sacrificed his life during the 2020 Galwan Valley clash.

The viral picture has quickly become a major talking point, with fans flooding social media with praise for the actor's transformation. Comments are pouring in, applauding his fitness and dedication to embodying the role of a soldier.

"Blockbuster Loading! This rugged look is one of his best," wrote one excited fan.

Another commented, "Fit and totally in shape for the Colonel's role. #BattleOfGalwan is going to be a huge hit."

Many social media users have noted that the actor's intense look, complete with a sharp mustache, signals a return to his "Sultan mode" and a performance that could be one of his most grounded and physically challenging yet.

A Physically Demanding Role

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, 'Battle of Galwan' is a grand production based on the real-life clash between Indian and Chinese forces. Salman Khan himself had previously shared that the film is one of the most physically strenuous projects of his career.

"It is physically demanding. Every year, every month, every day it gets more and more difficult... This film demands running, kicking, punching, and all that stuff. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, in high altitude and in cold water is a big challenge," the actor revealed in an earlier interview.

The first 45-day schedule of the film in Ladakh wrapped up recently. The film's team, including director Lakhia, shared glimpses of the tough conditions they faced, including freezing weather and difficult terrain, underscoring the authenticity the makers are aiming for.

Salman Khan is now set to resume the second and final schedule of the film in Mumbai on October 10, where he will be joined by co-star Chitrangada Singh. If the powerful reactions to this viral image are anything to go by, audiences are eagerly awaiting this patriotic action-drama when it finally hits the screens.
