Rishi Kapoor Tells media to leave Raj Kapoor's Book Launch Event,

Actor Rishi Kapoor reportedly had journalists ejected from a book launch in New Delhi, dismissing them off-handedly as being there for the freebies. Mr Kapoor, 65, was launching a book on his father Raj Kapoor, whose 93rd birth anniversary it was on Thursday. The book is authored by his sister Ritu Nanda. Rishi Kapoor ran into three journalists covering the launch on the invitation of the publisher. The actor, known for his short fuse and no-holds barred tweets, became instantly hostile, according to an agency account.

An ‘agitated’ Rishi Kapoor asked “Aap log kaun ho (who are you people)?” when he happened upon the three mediapersons. When the journalists presented their credentials, the Kapoor And Sons actor walked off, reportedly muttering “muft ki daru.”

Kapoor’s personal security then arrived and reportedly turned the journalists out, saying: “Kapoor doesn’t want you guys here, please leave.” When a representative of the publisher requested the hotel security in-charge to intervene, the latter said: “You know how Rishi Kapoor is. He has created a scene at our hotel twice in the past.”.

The publisher who invited them to the event apologized but also added that there are many “stakeholders in such events that involve celebrities.” 20 minutes after the event started, he returned to invite them inside the venue but the correspondents chose to leave.

Kapoor posted this picture from Thursday’s event without mentioning the above episode. He captioned it: “Thank you Delhi for your love and respect for Raj Kapoor.”
