Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma respond to Shah Rukh Khan's 'real Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' tweet

Superhit Bollywood movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi celebrated its 9 years on December 12 but for Shah Rukh Khan, it was the wedding of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli that was the 'real' Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi after the actress from the famous movie tied the nuptial knot with the Indian cricket team skipper.

"Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey," Anushka and Virat tweeted on Monday night to confirm the news that had been doing rounds on the internet.


Kohli and Anushka, who shook the world on Monday when they announced the news of their marriage on Twitter, thanked everyone who wished them on the micro-blogging website including SRK, who had posted a very special message.


“Ab yeh hui na real Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. My love to both @AnushkaSharma & @imVkohli May God bless u with happiness & health,” the King Khan had tweeted.

Kohli, replying to Shah Rukh's tweet, wrote: “Haha thank you for the Lovely wishes Shah Rukh Bhai.


Anushka, too, thanked his Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi co-star for the lovely wish.


Apart her debut with Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka has also starred with the veteran actor in two other films - Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017). SRK also had a cameo in her 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil though they did not share any scenes together.

Virushka are expected to arrive in India soon to throw two grand receptions – first in Delhi on December 21 and second in Mumbai on December 26 – before heading to South Africa to celebrate the New Year's eve. While Virat will start practicing with the rest of the members of the Indian team for the series against South Africa, Anushka will head back to India to complete the shooting of her film.
