Sonakshi Sinha feels films based on books are lucky for her
An astrologer once told Sonakshi Sinha that books will be lucky for her. Her last film based on a book, before Noor, was Lootera.

Sonakshi Sinha, who is gearing up for the release of Noor -- a film adaptation of Saba Imtiazs Karachi, You’re Killing Me! -- might have found her luck in books as she was once told by an astrologer that books are lucky for her.

Though Sonakshi does not believe in these things, she was amused by the astrologer’s statement.

Earlier, Sonakshi was praised by critics for her performance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s 2013 film Lootera, which was an adaptation of The Last Leaf by O Henry.

“I don’t believe in these things but it is a happy coincidence. Noor and Lootera both are films very close to my heart,” Sonakshi said in a statement.

Directed by Sunhil Sippy, Noor, which also features Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and Purab Kohli, is slated to release on April 21.

-
Image
Salman Khan puts on a cop act once again in his forthcoming film Dabangg. But unlike his previous outings in Garv and Wanted, this one is very corrupt, and looks very interesting. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap -- until now, better known as Anurag Kashyap's younger brother -- the film also stars Arbaaz Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha. Salman tells us what to expect from his latest action film. You're looking very young in Dabangg. Arre, I was told I look very mature in the film! I had lost a lot of weight and was looking really ripped when Arbaaz asked me whether I had ever seen a ripped corrupt cop. But I saw Sonu Sood working out for hours and getting a chiseled body. Arbaaz told me not to compare myself with him and that I should play my role. I didn't agree initially but later realised that he was right. A muscular cop didn't suit the role. But I would feel bad every time I saw Sonu working out. Then I would think, 'tujhe kahi aur, kisi au...
